The problem: you're paying 3★ prices for what would be 2★ anywhere else, just because it's the best option in town. Staff can be indifferent. And the spa is tiny — if 4 people are using it, it's full. But if you need a bit of comfort after big mountain days, this is it.

But if you're spending all day on the mountain and just need a bed, this works.

The catch: you're 10 mins' walk from the téléphérique, and Ventelon is isolated from the main village — no restaurants or bars nearby. If your group gels, it's brilliant. If not, you're stuck with each other.
